Uniswap Labs Releases Privacy Policy; Data and Privacy Protected
  • Labs released the company’s privacy policy to show the customers the way in which they protect their data and privacy.
  • It includes the details of the data collected, and the reasons and the ways in which they are shared, without thwarting privacy.
  • The platform declared that the major objective of Uniswap is to secure privacy.

Uniswap Labs, the leading decentralized exchange platform functioning on the Blockchain, released the company’s Privacy Policy to reveal the platform’s exigence in protecting the customers’ data and privacy.

On November 22, the platform published Uniswap Labs Privacy Policy, a detailed document consisting of all the required explanations on the company’s privacy policies and the way in which the users are secure within the space.

Colin Wu, the Chinese Crypto Reporter, on his Twitter account, Wu Blockchain, shared a message on the release of the Privacy Policy, focusing on the way in which the platform shares the collected data of the customers “to comply with our [their] legal obligations”:

Notably, in the introduction to the privacy policy, Uniswap Labs cited that they don’t “collect and store personal data, such as first name, last name, street address, date of birth, email address, or IP address”, but only “public on-chain data and limited off-chain data like device type, browser version, etc.”

The platform claimed that the major objective of the company is to provide transparency for the slightest information they collect. Though the policy stated that the company won’t be collecting any personal details, it added that the biographical details of the candidates who apply for any position in the firm would be recorded.

Significantly, the document included the details of the different purposes for which the data could be shared. Some of the purposes mentioned are service, customer support, safety and security, legal compliance, and aggregated data. The method of sharing data in each of these cases is also given briefly in the file.

Furthermore, Uniswap mentioned that the platform collects information on the customers’ use of the Third Party Services through the tracking tools such as cookies, deviceID, and localStorage. However, the customers can deny such tracking by blocking cookies in browser settings, limiting advertising ID, using privacy plug-ins, etc.
