Russia’s Gold Production Increased by 1.8% in 2021

Russian Ministry of Finance said that the country produced 346.42 tons of gold in 2021, compared with 340.17 tons in 2020, an increase of about 1.8%.

In a statmnet, the ministry added that Russia also produced 945.70 tons of silver in 2021, compared with 965.73 tons in 2020.

It is worth mentioing that, China is the world’s largest producer of gold, with 368 tons annually, while Russia ranks second with a total of 331 tons, and thirdly is Australia, with an annual production of 327 tons.

The United States (US) ranks fourth with a production of 190 tons, while Canada produces 170 tons, which places it in fifth place in the world, and in sixth place comes Ghana, the highest African country gold production by 138 tons.
