Sustainable electric vehicle maker, Fisker (NYSE:) launched the final over-the-air software (OTA) update of 2023 for the Fisker Ocean all-electric SUV.

Version 1.11 started its release on December 14. The company expects to finish the full execution of this update for all customers by the end of January 2024. Accessible remotely to all Fisker Ocean owners, this OTA update follows a significant OTA software update, Version 1.10, released in November.

“Being able to use OTA software updates to quickly introduce new features, respond to customer feedback, and fix bugs is an integral aspect of our competitive advantage,” said Chairman and CEO Henrik Fiske.

The company is adopting a robust strategy for software updates by transitioning to a staged roll-out plan. This shift aims to leverage insights gained from previous releases and ensure thorough testing of the over-the-air pipeline.

In the first quarter of 2024, Fisker plans to introduce additional updates to enhance various aspects including SolarSky roof improvements, fine-tuning of torque distribution, enhanced key fob functionality, and the addition of ADAS features among other enhancements.

Shares of FSR are up 2.34% in afternoon trading on Friday.
