Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the lost 0.51%.

The best performers of the session on the were Strauss Group (TASE:), which rose 5.25% or 384.00 points to trade at 7,700.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:) added 1.27% or 6.20 points to end at 493.80 and Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:) was up 0.74% or 80.00 points to 10,910.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:), which fell 2.34% or 41.00 points to trade at 1,712.00 at the close. Shikun & Binui (TASE:) declined 1.79% or 18.00 points to end at 980.00 and Israel Corp (TASE:) was down 1.74% or 1,540.00 points to 87,000.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 258 to 204 and 74 ended unchanged.

Shares in ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:) fell to 3-years lows; losing 2.34% or 41.00 to 1,712.00.

Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.17% or 0.85 to $71.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 1.06% or 0.83 to hit $77.46 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.30% or 6.15 to trade at $2,057.75 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was up 0.67% to 3.75, while EUR/ILS rose 0.67% to 4.11.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 102.32.
