Coinbase (NASDAQ:)’s chief legal officer says the United States Securities and Exchange Commission has overstepped its boundaries in suing the exchange — this came shortly after the company revealed it would file an order to dismiss the SEC’s lawsuit. Meanwhile, the Bank of Canada (BoC) reported a decline in the ownership of and cryptocurrencies in the country in 2022, as neither market conditions nor regulations sided in favor of Canadian crypto investors, according to a BoC study.

The Securities and Exchange Commision has “violated due process” in suing Coinbase, according to the exchange’s legal counsel.
